Breast Cancer Awareness
We Honor:
the winners
the losers
and those still fighting the battle.
Written by Jan Stewart.
We all have a friend or family member that cancer has affected in one way or another. I feel that having the annual October the month of breast cancer awareness campaign is a good way to encourage us to take steps to plan and detect cancer in the early stages and remind others to do the same as many of us forget to take these steps. 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
This breast cancer awareness three tier cake has textured fondant icing brushed with a light antique pink color on the top and bottom tier giving it an elegant vintage look. The middle tier is just covered with smooth white chocolate fondant in ivory color. The ivory flowers are roses made of gum paste. The topper is an edible butterfly that represents hope for those who are going through breast cancer.
Dedicated to breast cancer survivors that are close to me:
Joyce Holland, Jan Stewart and, Maria Plazas.
